Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms
Description
This recipe for sirloin beef tips is great over buttered noodles. You'll love the tender, juicy beef and the garlicky, red wine-based tomato sauce.
Ingredients
•
3 tablespoons olive oil
•
3 cloves garlic, minced
•
1 1/2 pounds beef sirloin steak, cut into cubes
•
1 (16 ounce) can mushrooms, with liquid
•
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
•
3/4 cup red wine, or more to taste
•
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
1
Gather all ingredients.
2
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and sear until browned on all sides, 5 to 7 minutes.
3
Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4
Add undrained mushrooms, tomato sauce, red wine, salt, and pepper.
5
Simmer until beef is tender, about 30 minutes, adding a little more wine if desired. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the beef should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium.
