Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup water
1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 1/2 cups salsa
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

1 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2 Spread cream cheese in an even layer in an 8x8-inch baking dish.
3 Cook and stir ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crumbly, browned, and cooked through, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in water and taco seasoning mix; simmer until most liquid evaporates, 3 to 5 minutes.
4 Spread beef mixture over cream cheese; top with salsa, then sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
