Karkadeh (Egyptian Hibiscus Iced Tea)
Description
This traditional Egyptian hibiscus tea is made with loose dried hibiscus flowers and is a great sweet drink to break the fast during Ramadan.
Ingredients

1/4 cup dried hibiscus petals
•
1 1/2 quarts boiling water
•
2 tablespoons white sugar, or more to taste
Directions

Place the hibiscus flowers in a pot and cover with boiling water. Sweeten to taste and allow to cool. Strain and pour into a pitcher. Refrigerate until well chilled.
