Description

This Irish stew recipe cooks in your slow cooker all day long so you have plenty of time to get things ready for your big St. Patrick's Day celebration.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, or as needed
2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
6 potatoes, peeled and diced
4 medium yellow onions, sliced
1 1/2 cups water
2 beef bouillon cubes
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions

1 Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add stew meat and cook until browned on all sides, 5 to 10 minutes.
2 Transfer browned meat to a slow cooker. Add potatoes, onion, water, bouillon cubes, salt, and pepper.
3 Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours.
