Patty's Mashed Turnips

Ingredients

7 large turnips, peeled and quartered

1 cup milk
•
2 tablespoons butter
•
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Gather the ingredients.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add turnips and cook until very tender when pierced with a fork, 35 to 45 minutes. Drain well.

Mash turnips with a potato masher in a large mixing bowl. Add butter and enough milk to reach desired creaminess.
