1 cup whole wheat flour
•
1 teaspoon baking powder
•
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
•
1/4 teaspoon salt
•
2 ripe bananas, mashed
•
3/4 cup brown sugar
•
1/3 cup unsweetened crunchy peanut butter
•
1/4 cup plain fat-free yogurt
•
1 large egg
•
1 tablespoon canola oil
•
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
2
Whisk whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside.
3
Combine mashed bananas, brown sugar, peanut butter, yogurt, egg, and canola oil in a separate bowl; stir into flour mixture until thoroughly combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
4
Spoon batter into the prepared loaf pan.
5
Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned at edges, and a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes.
6
Cool bread in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes before removing from the pan to finish cooling on the rack.
