Description
This recipe for onion pan-fried pork chops can be made with boneless and bone-in pork chops plus dry onion soup mix and flour as well as oil for frying.
Ingredients
•
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
•
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
•
1 cup olive oil for frying
•
2 pork chops
Directions
1
Crush larger bits of onion in soup packet with your hands before opening it; pour into a shallow bowl. Stir in flour.
2
Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat until hot (a pinch of onion soup mixture should sizzle when tossed into oil).
3
Meanwhile, coat pork chops in onion soup mixture; shake off excess. Carefully place chops into hot oil. Quickly sear chops on both sides, 30 seconds per side, then cook to desired degree of doneness, about 4 minutes per side.
