Description

This ki see ming recipe from Australia is a one-pot meal of sautéed vegetables and ground beef. It's quick to make and very filling on a cold winter day.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter
1 large onion, sliced
1/2 head cabbage, diced
3 stalks celery, cut into bite-size pieces
1 cup frozen cut green beans
1 pound ground sirloin
1 (4 1/2 ounce) package chicken noodle soup mix
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cups water, or as needed

Directions

1 Melt butter in a large, heavy skillet over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until translucent, 5 to 7 minutes; do not brown. Stir in cabbage, celery, and beans. Add ground sirloin; cook and stir until meat is evenly browned and crumbly, 7 to 9 minutes.
2 Add soup mix and soy sauce, then pour in just enough water to barely cover. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
