These tasty Cheddar and green onion biscuits have a savory cheese flavor. They are perfect with a bowl of chili or hearty soup in the winter or a main salad in the summer.

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cold butter
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 cup 1% buttermilk

Directions

1 Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2 Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture with a pastry cutter or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and onion. Pour in buttermilk; stir until evenly combined. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
3 Bake in the preheated oven until the tops of biscuits are lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.
