Hot Baked Taco Dip

Description

Ground beef, tomatoes, hot taco sauce, sour cream, and Cheddar cheese are layered and cooked into a hot baked taco dip. Serve with tortilla chips!

Ingredients

cooking spray
1 pound ground beef
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 tomato, chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 tablespoons hot taco sauce, or more to taste
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (14 1/2 ounce) package tortilla chips, or more as needed

Directions

1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
2 Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Stir bell pepper and taco seasoning into ground beef. Spread ground beef mixture into prepared casserole dish.
3 Sprinkle tomato and green onions over ground beef mixture; top with taco sauce. Spread sour cream over taco sauce layer and top with Cheddar cheese.
4 Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbling, 10 to 20 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.
