Description
Salisbury steaks made with a hint of onion and green bell pepper are a flavorful and comforting main dish for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
•
1 pound extra-lean ground beef
•
2 tablespoons minced onion
•
2 tablespoons minced green bell pepper
•
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
•
1 teaspoon salt
•
1 teaspoon paprika
•
1 clove garlic, minced
•
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
•
1/4 pinch dried thyme leaves
•
all-purpose flour, or as needed
•
1 tablespoon oil, or as needed
Directions
1
Set oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
2
Mix ground beef, onion, green bell pepper, parsley, salt, paprika, garlic, black pepper, and thyme together in a bowl; divide into 4 portions and shape into patties. Arrange patties on the prepared baking sheet. Dust both sides of patties with flour and brush with oil.
3
Broil in the preheated oven until steaks are cooked through, 4 to 8 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
